Istanbul's role as a business meeting hub is underrated outside Turkey itself. Turkish Airlines reaches almost anywhere, the Bosphorus hotel cluster has serious meeting infrastructure, and the city handles foreign delegations smoothly.
Stay On The European Side, Probably
Four Seasons Bosphorus, Shangri-La Bosphorus, or Ciragan Palace Kempinski if you want the postcard. Conrad Bosphorus for a more business-focused, less-honeymoon-coded option. All have proper meeting rooms and the lobby tea service that makes Turkish business culture feel like business culture.
Avoid Sultanahmet for an offsite. It's the touristic Istanbul, lovely for half a day, miserable for an Uber to a 9am session.

Where The Meetings Happen
Levent and Maslak are the financial districts. Most of your local counterparts are here. Lunch meetings tend to be on the Bosphorus - Sait Halim Pasa Yalisi for the most photographed example, or Lacivert for a quieter alternative across the water.
If your delegation flies overnight, build a recovery afternoon. Don't schedule a 4pm session on arrival day. Nobody is sharp.
The Soft Skills Of Istanbul Business
Tea offered is not optional. Decline politely twice and you'll be offered three times anyway. Lunches run long. Build that into your day. The Turkish counterpart will measure the relationship more than the deck.
